As is usual, March is a roller coaster of weather. February was warm enough to cause pussy willow buds to open, and now in March, with lows in the single digits, those buds will probably freeze.
The sunny weather has been great for greenhouse plants, with native plant seedlings moving along nicely and most things on schedule. It is always hard to know what to expect from the month of March. We always hope for a large flock of lambs, but of course a lion can jump the fence at any time.
