We have begun November in a summer-like mode. It is a month that can turn on a dime, and usually does. It is summer-like now with flocks of waterfowl resting comfortably on area lakes and warm sunsets still inviting a lonely fisherman to wet a line.
The month will eventually turn on us, freezing lakes and sending the waterfowl south and inviting the fishermen to walk out and set fishing lines through holes in the ice.
November can be a month of the greatest contrast, lulling us into complacency with soft misty mornings and then slamming us into reality with blizzards and zero temperatures.
