A New Season Dawns-February 21, 2016

The ice thickness on our area lakes is about half of the normal.  With the usual thickness being three feet, this year it is about a foot and a half.  Warm weather last week has served to begin deterioration of the ice.  Yet, March looms ahead; always a wild card in the weather department.  It can turn on us quickly.

The greenhouses are green and filling with plants; on schedule according to ‘normal.’  Maybe some year we will have a ‘normal’ spring.  Now we adjust on the fly to get everything to come out right for this season.
