Blue Monday-A Memorial Day in Flyover Country-May 29, 2017

The “blues” have arrived.  Blue Baptisia is now blooming, along with the intense color of the blue wild lupines.  The killdeers carry on their age-old tradition of nonchalance in the area of nesting; choosing to place their eggs in a bare spot in the lawn and hope for the best.  Meanwhile the eight-legged little pests continue to “tick-off” anyone who ventures out into the prairie to observe its beauty.
