Plugging Toward the Future Behind a Herd of Toads

     Each sunrise and sunset lately, causes us to wonder “what next?”  Out in our greenhouses at Glacial Ridge Growers we move forward with the belief that the past is the key to the future.  In part of our greenhouse area we have a veritable sea of hope as nearly a quarter of a million seedlings emerge from seed collected in our county.  This local ecotype seed will be the foundation for seed production as these seedlings area planted out to produce seed that has its origins right here.

     As I cultivated my garden the other day a little herd of toads preceded my tiller.  They were out doing what toads have done for ages.  Some things never change as we all move forward.
