After a very dry spring we received a beautiful rainfall this week. We are happy for all the folks who have planted the plants from our greenhouses, as summer rainfall blesses the growing season. The brilliance and long twilight of these northern evenings of the solstice bring a sense of peace and quietude to our days. Our local family of trumpeter swans still seems to be holding together at five cygnets, in the face of numerous predators. Eagles, coyotes, and otters can quickly disrupt an evening on the pond.
